A Qixi-themed YSL pop-up rebuilt a metro train inside the L1 atrium of a large Wuhan shopping complex.

Wushang Dream Plaza is a large shopping complex in Wuhan, with retail levels arranged around an open central atrium at L1. The atrium is the mall's main circulation crossroads: a tall, column-free volume where escalators, shopfronts and walkways converge, and where the complex places temporary installations, seasonal displays and brand activations that passing shoppers encounter without entering a store.
The atrium was divided into a sequence of connected zones: a platform check-in area, a light tunnel, a carriage experience zone, makeup counters and a gift redemption station. A large train-head structure, track signage and tunnel lighting framed the route, with carriage seating and window frames reproduced inside. Visitors moved through the zones in order, using a themed ticket with stamps collected along the way.
The atrium sits on the mall's main pedestrian route, so an open, walk-through installation can be entered without a purchase decision. Its height and open floor allow large set-piece structures and lighting, while nearby beauty retail benefits from visitors who test products on site and continue into the mall.
