West Bund Dream Center hosted YSL Beauty's DO NOT DISTURB Hotel, a temporary immersive beauty pop-up, from 24 April to 10 May 2026.

West Bund Dream Center is a mixed-use complex on Shanghai's West Bund waterfront in Xuhui, combining retail units, cultural venues and open event space near the riverside promenade. Its large indoor halls and outdoor circulation allow brands to build temporary structures and route visitors through staged interiors. The complex sits within a district of museums and public waterfront paths, so it receives both scheduled cultural visitors and casual weekend foot traffic.
For this project the complex's event space was converted into a hotel-like sequence. A reception area with a DO NOT DISTURB neon sign issued interactive maps; a guest room held lipstick trials; a lobby game area hosted tasks; a fragrance corridor extended the route into perfume testing. Visitors moved through these zones as guests, with free entry and no booking, and samples were exchanged for completed tasks.
The venue's mix of cultural and retail traffic suits a free-entry pop-up that depends on walk-in visitors and social documentation. Its waterfront location and flexible indoor space let a brand stage a multi-room narrative without permanent construction, while the surrounding museum district supports weekend cultural itineraries.
