The north plaza at Parc Central in Guangzhou hosted YSL's Love Store pop-up, a pink-and-red pavilion built around a heart installation and product sampling.

Parc Central is a shopping mall on Tianhe Road in Guangzhou's Tianhe commercial district, organised around a sunken landscaped garden with a landscaped roof deck above the retail levels. Its first-floor north plaza is an open-air paved area at street level, sitting between mall entrances and the surrounding walkways, fronted by retail and food units and crossed continuously by foot traffic through the day.
For this project the north plaza held a freestanding pavilion in pink and red, open on the side facing passing foot traffic. A large heart installation formed the central stopping point, alongside a character-themed sampling machine and a counter where the limited powder-star makeup line could be tried. Queue lines were kept on the surrounding paving, clear of mall doorways.
Open-air plazas at busy malls meet unplanned foot traffic rather than committed shoppers, so a pavilion with one strong image and a free sample works: it reads from the walkway, is entered without a decision, and is left within minutes, with queues absorbed by the paving outside.
