Changsha IFS's southwest plaza hosted YSL's Safari Flame New Year party, an enclosed branded build on the mall's street-level forecourt.

Changsha IFS is a retail-led complex in the city centre, with a mall podium set beneath its towers. The southwest plaza is the paved outdoor apron at the base of the building, a street-facing area where pedestrians move between the road and the mall entrances. It normally functions as circulation space: a wide, open, hard-surfaced forecourt that absorbs foot traffic rather than holding people for long.
For the New Year period the plaza was built out as a branded environment rather than left open. A structure was erected on the paving, screening the interior from the street, with a staged route through decorated zones instead of one open room. Entry, photo points and product display were sequenced along that path, while the surrounding forecourt absorbed queueing and passing foot traffic.
The plaza sits where mall visitors and street pedestrians overlap, so a built structure there intercepts people already moving between the two. Because the site is open-air and self-contained, it can hold an enclosed, evening party format without interrupting circulation inside the mall itself.
