AKOMA, a nightclub inside Shanghai Plaza on Huaihai Middle Road, hosted a ten-day YSL Beauty night-serum takeover.

AKOMA is a nightclub and live music venue occupying a ground-floor unit of Shanghai Plaza, a commercial building on Huaihai Middle Road in the city's central shopping district. The room is built around a stage and dance floor, with a bar zone and a separate entrance corridor that buffers the street from the main hall. Interiors are dark, sound-driven and lit by rigged screens and moving light rather than daylight.
The club's entrance was fitted with a light pillar of four-sided screens and a tilted countdown display, turning the arrival sequence into the first zone. A foyer and corridor followed, using rotating doors and projected light to carry the serum visuals toward the main hall, where the stage, dance floor and bar operated as a performance space until one in the morning. Sampling ran on site via QR code.
Nightclubs already own the late hours the product addresses, so a skincare story about overnight repair reads clearly inside one. AKOMA's dark shell, existing screen rigs and staged entry corridor let a brand build a controlled sequence of light and sound without constructing a full venue.
