Shanghai's 1862 Old Shipyard hosted YSL Beauty's rock arcade and Left Bank concert, staged ahead of its flagship store opening.

The venue is a restored historic shipyard on Shanghai's Pudong riverfront, converted into a complex of shops, restaurants and event halls. Exposed steel, brick walls and tall open spans remain, and outdoor terraces face the Huangpu River. It sits within the Lujiazui riverside promenade, close to office towers and transit, and is used for dining, retail and large public events.
For the project, the open yard was split into a fenced arcade zone and a performance stage. Claw machines dispensing YSL products, pinball tables, darts and bowling sat beside photo walls and a drum platform. Guests moved between the games and photo points before the concert, where Huang Zitao, Tia Ray and Vinida performed.
The shipyard's raw industrial fabric and open riverfront yard suit a rock-themed brand takeover: they absorb loud sound, temporary structures and crowds without the constraints of a shopping-mall atrium. The historic setting also gives the Parisian left-bank reference a rougher, more credible backdrop.
