The Yellow River International Convention and Exhibition Center is a purpose-built exhibition complex in Dongying, Shandong, and the city's main indoor venue for trade fairs and consumer shows. Its programme is organised around large column-free halls with service yards and vehicle access, letting organisers lay out multiple manufacturer stands under one roof and move cars in and out between build-up and public days.
For the four public days the Volvo stand occupied a defined footprint inside the exhibition hall's manufacturer row: a raised platform carrying the model range, a back wall of dark panelling that closed the stand to the aisle behind it, and a leather and trim display explaining interior finishes. Visitors entered from the front, walked the car line, and stopped at a small seated area for specification and pricing conversations.
Auto shows are one of the few formats that need drive-in access, high ceilings and floor loading, which is what a purpose-built exhibition hall supplies. Placing a stand inside a multi-brand hall also puts it in direct comparison with rivals, so buyers arrive already in evaluation mode.
