Rathausplatz hosted a Volvo pop-up showroom built from nine modular glass cubes presenting the V90 Cross Country.

Rathausplatz is the broad public square in central Vienna fronting the City Hall. It functions as a civic and event space, with open paved areas, passing pedestrian traffic and a setting shaped by historic buildings. The square accommodates temporary installations and public gatherings while remaining part of the city's everyday circulation. Its central location places it on routes used by residents and visitors.
For the Volvo project, nine glass cubes of varying dimensions were assembled in the middle of the square to form a temporary showroom. The modular system was designed for quick assembly and disassembly, protecting the square and the cubes' interior and exterior finishes. The cubes created display, interaction and media zones for the V90 Cross Country, with circulation around and between them.
A central historic square brings steady pedestrian traffic and a civic backdrop, which suits a temporary automotive showroom. The open paved area allows a modular installation to be placed without permanent construction, while the square's public character supports passer-by discovery and scheduled media or dealer events.
