The Canton Fair Complex hosted Volvo’s Guangzhou auto show stand for the XC40 Recharge launch.

The Canton Fair Complex is Guangzhou’s exhibition venue in Pazhou, made up of numbered halls and wide internal circulation. During auto shows, its halls are configured as manufacturer stands, press areas and meeting rooms, with service roads and loading access supporting temporary builds. The venue’s scale and clear hall structure let brands separate public display, stage programming and back-of-house functions within one complex.
For the Volvo project, the stand was organised into a stage area for the press conference, a display zone for the XC40 RECHARGE, a rest area and interactive features including a robotic-arm coffee machine and a cart flower shop. Circulation moved visitors from the front display toward the stage and interview space, with the stand’s standardised exhibition system adjusted to the hall’s dimensions.
Auto show halls suit launch programming because they already provide the power, loading access and visitor flows that temporary stands require. The complex’s multiple halls allow a brand to mount a press conference, public display and media interviews without moving between sites, while the show’s audience supplies a concentrated automotive context.
