Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3 hosted a Volvo XC90 display in its airside departures area in December 2020.

Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3 is the airport’s international and domestic terminal, with airside departure concourses beyond security, retail and waiting areas, and long passenger circulation routes. The venue in this record is the area inside security, where departing and transit passengers move between gates, shops and service points. It is normally a transit environment rather than a dedicated exhibition space.
During the project, a Volvo XC90 was displayed inside the T3 airside area, placing the vehicle within the terminal’s passenger circulation rather than in a separate hall. The record identifies only the vehicle display; the exact footprint, stand design, lighting and any surrounding brand elements are not verified. The display was accessible to passengers already past security.
Airport terminals inside security gather departing and transit passengers with waiting time and repeated movement through retail corridors. A vehicle display fits this setting because it can be viewed during routine passenger flow without requiring a separate ticketing or event entrance. The location suits short, visual brand encounters rather than long, guided experiences.
