Shipyard 1862, a converted industrial riverside venue in Shanghai, hosted the launch of Tiffany & Co.’s Paper Flowers collection.

Shipyard 1862 is a converted historic shipyard on the Huangpu riverfront in Shanghai’s East Bund. The venue retains industrial structures, with exposed steelwork, large open halls and riverside frontage. It operates as an event and cultural space, used for exhibitions, fashion presentations, dinners and brand gatherings. Its scale and raw shell allow temporary structures to be built within it.
For the Paper Flowers launch, the venue’s industrial exterior was wrapped in a Tiffany package graphic, while scaffolding and lighting created a nighttime setting. A glass house structure displayed the collection. The programme included an interview in the afternoon, followed by a dinner at a long table and a party, with the venue's walls and ceiling forming the dinner backdrop.
The shipyard’s industrial shell and riverside East Bund location suit a jewellery launch that needs a controlled evening environment and room for temporary builds. Its open halls accommodate a glass house, scaffolding and long-table dinner without permanent changes, while the raw structure provides contrast for the collection display.
