ihere Gallery in Beijing's 798 Art District hosted a Balvenie flavour exhibition built as a reconstructed distillery interior.

ihere Gallery is an exhibition space inside Beijing's 798 Art District, a converted industrial art quarter of galleries, studios and cultural venues. The gallery provides a raw, adaptable interior suited to installations and brand exhibitions, with existing building character retained. Its location places it within a walkable art-district circuit rather than a retail or street-front setting.
For the Balvenie flavour tour, the gallery interior was fitted with a timber structure that inserted a reconstructed distillery environment into the existing building. Visitors moved through staged zones presenting raw materials, traditional production and blending, with scent and set dressing building the atmosphere. The inserted build sat within the gallery rather than replacing its character.
Art-district galleries suit immersive brand exhibitions because visitors already expect installed environments and extended looking. The gallery's adaptable shell allows a temporary timber build without losing the host building, while 798's cultural circuit gives the project a context of craft and display rather than retail transaction.
