Xi'an SKP's first-floor atrium hosted Prada's wooden chalet holiday pop-up, a temporary retail structure displaying winter clothing and accessories.

Xi'an SKP is a department store in Xi'an with a central atrium on its first floor. The atrium is an open interior space used for temporary brand installations and displays, with shopper circulation passing around and through it. It sits within the store's retail floors, giving temporary projects a central position inside the building rather than a separate exterior site.
For this project, the first-floor atrium held a chalet-style structure made from selected old timber and adapted into a mountain-cabin form. The temporary shop displayed Prada's winter clothing and accessories inside the wooden structure. The build occupied the central atrium area, turning part of the mall's circulation space into a walk-through retail setting during the opening period.
A department-store atrium works for a travelling retail concept because it gives the installation a central, indoor position within an existing shopping flow. Shoppers encounter the chalet without leaving the mall, while the temporary structure can be built and removed without altering the store's permanent retail floors.
