Wuzhong Market, a two-storey food market in Xuhui, Shanghai, hosted a Prada Fall/Winter 2021 takeover of its exterior, stalls and packaging.

Wuzhong Market is a two-storey indoor food market on Urumqi Middle Road in Xuhui, Shanghai. Renovated and reopened in 2019, it holds more than fifty vendor stalls: vegetables, fruit, seafood and flowers on the ground floor, tofu products and cooked food above. Its regular use is daily grocery shopping, with stalls arranged along aisles and a tiled, utilitarian interior.
During the project, the market's exterior was wrapped in Prada Fall/Winter 2021 jacquard print and logo panels. Inside, walls, stall fronts and packaging carried the same geometric pattern. Vendor counters and aisles remained in normal use; shoppers bought produce and received limited printed Prada bags in three patterns between 10:00 and 16:00. Prices stayed unchanged.
The market's everyday grocery function and dense stall grid suit a surface-led brand takeover: existing walls, counters and bags become media without building a separate structure. Its routine errand setting places fashion imagery within a daily Shanghai ritual, and the vendor layout keeps circulation and transactions legible.
