Wuhan SKP hosted a Prada Beauty pop-up that turned fragrance testing into a record-store listening ritual.

Wuhan SKP is a shopping mall in Wuhan. The record places the project inside this retail venue but does not specify a floor, atrium or exterior position. As a shopping mall, it provides indoor circulation, storefronts and common areas where temporary brand spaces can sit alongside regular retail. Its setting is commercial and pedestrian, with visitors moving through the complex during normal opening hours.
For this project, the venue held a pop-up designed as a retro record store. A mint-green exterior opened into an interior with soft pink accents. A wall of colourful vinyl sleeves created a display and photo backdrop, while headphones and seating supported the fragrance “listening” sequence. The layout guided visitors through a staged encounter with a scent’s top, heart and base notes.
A shopping mall suits a short fragrance pop-up because it brings the project into everyday foot traffic rather than requiring a dedicated cultural visit. The record-store format gives the mall’s transient audience a clear, self-contained stop: a visual frontage, a photo moment and a guided trial sequence that can be entered and completed within a normal shopping trip.
