Shanghai IFC hosted the Prada Thunder limited-store pop-up, presenting the 2019 fall/winter collection amid Jeanne Detallante's 'Alternating Currents' wallpaper.

Shanghai IFC is a shopping mall within the Shanghai International Financial Center complex in Pudong. It sits in a dense commercial district and contains multiple indoor retail levels. Its layout follows a large urban mall format: escalators, common walkways and storefronts opening onto shared circulation. The venue serves office workers, local shoppers and visitors to the Lujiazui area, with retail units arranged along the mall's internal routes.
For the project, the mall space was fitted as a temporary Prada Thunder store. The interior presented men's and women's clothing, bags, shoes and accessories from the collection. Walls were covered with Jeanne Detallante's 'Alternating Currents' wallpaper, which sets silhouettes of male and female bodies against a floodlit wilderness and cliff landscape. The installation creates a distinct visual field within the mall's retail circulation.
A mall like Shanghai IFC places a limited-store format directly on the path of existing fashion shoppers. The enclosed retail setting supports a controlled installation, while multi-level circulation exposes the pop-up to visitors moving between stores. The venue's concentration of comparable retail makes a temporary brand space legible without requiring a separate cultural destination.
