Réel Mall’s outdoor clock plaza hosted Prada’s Green Box perfume pop-up, with a linked boutique downstairs.

Réel Mall is a shopping mall in central Shanghai. Its outdoor clock plaza sits at street level, forming a public forecourt where passing foot traffic meets the mall entrance. The plaza is open-air and visible from the street, while the mall’s lower level contains retail units and beauty counters connected to the main shopping concourse. The site allows brands to address both exterior passersby and interior mall visitors.
For the launch, the plaza held an outdoor installation centered on a six-metre perfume bottle in Prada’s triangular form, placed on its side against a moving pink backdrop. The mall’s B1 level simultaneously hosted a Prada perfume and beauty boutique with black-and-white checkerboard flooring. Together, the outdoor plaza and indoor store created a route from street-level encounter to product trial inside the mall.
A mall forecourt works for fragrance launches because it catches pedestrians before they enter, then directs them inward. Réel Mall’s plaza gives the installation street visibility, while the connected B1 retail level lets visitors move from an outdoor image to an indoor counter, supporting sampling and purchase in one visit.
