A century-old Shanghai mansion and its courtyard hosted a three-day Lantern Festival market with installations, stalls and games.

Prada Rong Zhai is a century-old garden villa at 186 Shaanxi North Road in Jing'an, Shanghai, restored and operated by Prada as a cultural venue. The house is set behind a walled forecourt and garden, with a sequence of ground-floor rooms, a staircase hall and upper salons. It normally hosts exhibitions, talks and small-format cultural programming rather than retail.
For three days the courtyard and ground-floor circuit were given over to a lantern market. A red horse installation stood in the courtyard as the central visual anchor, the exterior facade carried lantern lighting, and a creative street market with food, retail and game stalls was laid along the garden route. Entry ran on ticketed vouchers redeemable against purchases, so visitors moved from the forecourt through the market into the house.
The walled garden and enfilade of rooms let a market be staged as a walk-through sequence rather than a single pitch. Timed ticketing suits the enclosed grounds, and the historic interiors give festive programming a setting that a shopping-mall atrium cannot offer.
