Prada Rong Zhai's garden and interior rooms hosted a two-day Re-Nylon and SEA BEYOND ocean-education experience.

Prada Rong Zhai is a restored early twentieth-century residence set behind a walled garden in central Shanghai, a short walk from the West Nanjing Road retail strip. The house keeps its original room sequence across several floors, with parquet floors, plaster ceilings and tall windows; the garden sits in front of it, enclosed and largely lawned. It is normally used for cultural programming and small brand presentations rather than open retail.
For the two-day run the garden became the main room of the project: a walled enclosure turned into a blue projection space looping Re-Nylon film and SEA BEYOND documentary footage, with a blue newsstand and ice-cream cart placed against the villa facade. Indoors, rooms held the reserved gift collection and the children's workshops — kaleidoscope-making and miniature ecosystem models — with circulation passing from garden into the house.
The villa gives a sustainability message a domestic, non-commercial frame: visitors move through a garden and rooms rather than a shop floor, which suits education-led content aimed at families and press. Its central location and enclosed garden also allow controlled, reservation-based entry without street-level footfall.
