Prada at MiZa — Prada Mode Abu Dhabi (2025)

MiZa in Abu Dhabi's Mina Zayed district hosted Prada Mode, a four-day cultural club of talks, acoustic sets and DJ performances.

The venue

MiZa is a community venue in Mina Zayed, the port district of Abu Dhabi, where former industrial and warehouse buildings have been converted into cultural and creative spaces. Its plan sets a cylindrical building inside a square footprint, giving one enclosed interior volume and a surrounding outdoor area. The site operates as a gathering place for the district's arts and design tenants.

How the space was used

During the four-day run the cylindrical interior held acoustic music performances, set up for listening and conversation. The outer spaces carried the livelier programme of live performances and DJ sets. Talks took place across the site, with sessions on traditional practice and urban development. Visitors moved between the enclosed and open zones, so the two programmes ran in parallel.

Why it works here

Mina Zayed's warehouse fabric gives cultural programming large, unpolished rooms that accept temporary staging without heavy build. MiZa's split layout lets a seated, quiet format and an open, loud one coexist on one site, which suits a club programme that alternates talks, listening and performance across a day.
