Porsche at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center — Porsche New Macan Taiwan Launch (2019)

Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2 hosted the Taiwan launch of the new Porsche Macan for media and VIP guests.

The venue

Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center is a large trade-fair and convention complex in the Nangang district on the eastern edge of Taipei, served by the city's metro and rail lines and built for exhibitions, conferences and industry trade shows. Hall 2 is one of its purpose-built halls: column-free, high-ceilinged, with vehicle and freight access, divisible into sections and normally used for trade fairs, expos and large corporate gatherings.

How the space was used

For the launch, the hall was divided into zones. Guest arrival and hospitality areas led into several activity areas set up before the presentation — windsurfing, climbing and parkour installations, plus a VR and simulator area tracing the brand's sports-car lineage. The main presentation stage and vehicle reveal occupied the central floor, with the audience seated in front of it.

Why it works here

Halls of this type take heavy floor loads, tall rigging and vehicle movement, so car makers can bring in display cars, simulators and built structures without structural compromise. Their size allows a seated presentation and separate activity zones to run side by side, and their transport links make them practical for a one-day event drawing guests from across the region.
