Porsche at Shanghai International Circuit — Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2019 Finale & C (2019)

Shanghai International Circuit hosted the 2019 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season finale and its champion's night.

The venue

Shanghai International Circuit is a permanent motorsport circuit in Shanghai, organised around a dedicated racetrack with grandstands, pit lane, paddock and support buildings. It normally hosts races, track days and automotive events, with spectators and teams moving between trackside viewing areas and operational zones. The venue's scale and layout are set by circuit operations rather than by a retail or exhibition footprint.

How the space was used

The venue was used for the 2019 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season finale and a champion's night. Race activity took place on the circuit, while the evening event was held within the venue; specific zones, circulation routes and temporary structures are not verified in the source. Pit lane and paddock areas would ordinarily support competing teams, but project-specific use is not documented.

Why it works here

A motorsport circuit suits a one-make racing series finale because the track, pit lane and paddock already support race operations and team presence. An evening champion's night can sit alongside the sporting programme without converting the venue into a retail or exhibition space.
