A coastal wind farm on Pingtan Island hosted Porsche's synchronous world premiere of the Taycan, with media and guest experience zones built beside the turbines.

The venue is a beach-side wind farm at the outer edge of Pingtan Island in Fujian, a coastal energy site rather than a built event space. Its defining elements are turbine towers, open shoreline and exposed marine weather. It has no permanent exhibition halls or visitor infrastructure, so any programme depends on temporary structures, power and circulation planning across uneven outdoor ground.
For the premiere, the wind farm was transformed for the week into a temporary launch campus. A media presentation area hosted the world premiere, while guest zones accommodated an AR table and a 3D holographic display. Circulation moved visitors between the shoreline setting, the technology exhibits and vehicle viewing, with the turbines and sea as the backdrop rather than a constructed set.
The site's wind energy infrastructure directly matched the Taycan's electric positioning and the premiere's three-location renewable-energy concept. An outdoor wind farm gives a launch a clear physical argument that a hotel ballroom cannot: the product is presented inside the energy landscape it references, and the coastal setting provides a controlled but distinctive backdrop.
