The Los Angeles Convention Center hosted the world premiere of the eighth-generation Porsche 911 during the 2018 LA Auto Show.

The Los Angeles Convention Center is a large exhibition complex in downtown Los Angeles, near the Figueroa Corridor. Its broad, column-free halls and adjoining meeting rooms are built for trade fairs, auto shows and product conventions, so the building reads as a sequence of flat, flexible floors rather than fixed rooms. Ceiling height and service access allow vehicles to be moved in and displayed at scale.
For the premiere, held on the show's press day, the hall was arranged as a chronological walk: the first seven 911 generations stood in line before the new car was revealed. A stage carried the history presentation, the brand address and a conversation segment, with an open viewing area for the car afterwards. Visitor flow ran past the older models toward the new one.
Auto shows supply a ready audience of press and industry, and a convention hall allows a long lineage display and a stage within one continuous route. The format suits a model with a documented history: visitors move from past cars to the new one without leaving a single unbroken space.
