Century Tongkuang Plaza, a public waterfront square on Suzhou Creek, hosted Porsche's outdoor 'Dream Big' art installation by Chris Labrooy in April 2023.

Century Tongkuang Plaza is a public waterfront square on the Suzhou Creek in Shanghai, near the creek's lower reaches and the Waibaidu Bridge area. It is an open paved space used for walking, viewing and civic events, with the creek, bridges and skyline forming its setting. The plaza connects to riverside paths and is accessible without a ticketed entrance.
For this project the plaza's open paved area held Chris Labrooy's 'Dream Big' installation, presented by Porsche. The work was placed outdoors rather than in a hall, so visitors encountered it while moving through the waterfront square and along the creek-side paths. The record does not describe separate zones or a ticketed interior; the installation relied on the plaza's existing circulation and open sightlines.
Temporary outdoor art works in this plaza because the space is public, open and waterfront-facing. Passing pedestrians and riverside walkers meet the work without an entrance, while the creek and skyline give the installation a city-scale backdrop. The plaza's flat paved surface also allows freestanding structures to be viewed from several directions.
