Porsche at Amanyangyun — Porsche Taycan Eight-City Test Drive (2020)

Amanyangyun, a resort in Shanghai, hosted the opening stop of Porsche's Taycan eight-city test-drive programme.

The venue

Amanyangyun is a resort property in Shanghai, used here as the opening location for a multi-city driving programme. It provides a hospitality setting with guest accommodation, arrival areas and open grounds. The venue is normally organised around guest stays, dining and leisure rather than public exhibition or retail use, giving the programme a controlled campus-like environment.

How the space was used

For this project, the resort served as the starting venue for guests invited to experience Taycan charging and test drives. The programme used the property for arrivals and staged activities, with guests moving between charging demonstrations, driving routes in surrounding areas and lifestyle-oriented sessions. The setting supported multiple guest waves over the event period.

Why it works here

A resort like Amanyangyun suits a drive programme because it offers controlled arrival, parking and guest hospitality in one setting. Guests can move from an indoor briefing to vehicles and surrounding roads without the constraints of a city-centre site. The hospitality context also supports longer, lifestyle-focused test-drive sessions.
