Shi Zhecun Former Residence hosted Louis Vuitton's Book Workshop, a temporary reading and craft space on Yuyuan Road.

Shi Zhecun Former Residence is a historic villa on Yuyuan Road in Shanghai. The building retains its original old-house fabric, with domestic-scale rooms and architectural details. It is normally a heritage residence rather than a commercial venue, so its rooms, corridors and exterior give temporary cultural projects a residential character. Visitors encounter the project through the house itself, not through a retail frontage.
For the project, the residence was divided into a book-reading area, a hands-on craft workshop, a coffee lounge and a stamp-collection point. Visitors moved between rooms to browse Louis Vuitton travel books and art albums, join screen-printing, rubbing and album-binding sessions, collect limited cards and prints, and try a Shanghai-only coffee. Entry was free and booked through a mini-program.
The villa's domestic scale and heritage setting suit a reading-and-craft project better than a retail unit. Its rooms allow slow, segmented circulation, and the residential address supports the brand's publishing culture without a sales-floor format. The location draws city walkers and culture-oriented visitors who treat the house as part of the visit.
