Louis Vuitton Maison Chengdu Taikoo Li hosted a LEGO-built Christmas window display and a large LEGO model art installation in 2022.

Louis Vuitton Maison Chengdu Taikoo Li is a luxury retail building in the Taikoo Li open-air shopping district in central Chengdu. It is arranged as a multi-level maison with street-facing display windows and interior retail floors. The store sits within a low-rise district of lanes and courtyards, where retail façades and historic-style buildings face pedestrian circulation.
For this project, the storefront windows were given over to Christmas-themed LEGO scenes, while a large LEGO model art installation occupied a display area connected to the retail entrance. The installation was integrated with the maison’s normal window and entrance sequence, so viewers encountered the LEGO elements at street level before moving through the store. The arrangement directed passersby from the open-air district past the windows and into the store’s public-facing zone.
This kind of activation suits a luxury maison in an open-air retail district because the storefront is already part of the pedestrian route. Window displays can be read from the lane, while a larger model gives visitors a reason to pause and enter. The multi-level retail setting supports viewing from different points without disrupting normal store operation.
