HKRI Taikoo Hui hosted Louis Vuitton's Visionary Journeys exhibition, built around a ship-shaped installation and themes of travel, craft, fashion and innovation.

HKRI Taikoo Hui is a retail and mixed-use complex in Shanghai. Its public halls, retail levels and outdoor frontage accommodate large-format brand installations and temporary exhibitions. The venue is normally used for shopping, dining and office access, with visitors moving between indoor circulation routes and exterior plazas. It draws both local shoppers and citywide visitors.
For Visionary Journeys, the complex hosted a Louis Vuitton exhibition conceived by OMA and realized with ACTIVATION EVENTS. A ship-shaped installation, The Louis, was built as a landmark within the venue. Inside, zones addressed travel, craftsmanship, fashion and innovation, including a double timeline on Asnières and maritime history. Visitors moved through exhibition rooms and adjoining public circulation.
A mixed-use retail complex gives an exhibition a ready urban audience and flexible interior and exterior space. The setting allows a large architectural installation to sit alongside everyday mall circulation, drawing shoppers and exhibition visitors without requiring a dedicated museum building. The central Shanghai location supports a citywide and visitor draw.
