Fotografiska Shanghai, a photography museum on the Suzhou River, hosted Louis Vuitton's month-long 'Nóng Hó, Shanghai' pop-up space.

Fotografiska Shanghai occupies a converted building on the Suzhou River in Jing'an District, at 127 Guangfu Road. The photography museum works across several levels, with galleries, high ceilings and river-facing openings, and it runs a changing programme of exhibitions alongside a restaurant and shop. Its rooms are large enough to hold built structures and are normally given over to photography shows rather than to retail.
For this project the museum's gallery floors were given over to the Louis Vuitton pop-up for a month. Displays and built settings were placed inside the exhibition rooms, with visitors moving through them in sequence before reaching the river-facing side of the building, where the Suzhou River referenced in the project's own text is visible. Exact floor area and visitor capacity: not verified.
A photography museum brings an audience already accustomed to walking through curated rooms, and its riverside address matches the project's theme of city memory and water. Temporary brand installations fit a venue whose programme changes regularly, without requiring the building itself to be refitted.
