Loewe at Chengdu SKP — LOEWE x On Chengdu Pop-up (2024)

Chengdu SKP's K Avenue on 2F hosted a two-week LOEWE x On limited boutique in June 2024.

The venue

Chengdu SKP is a luxury shopping complex in Chengdu, organised around indoor retail streets and open plaza areas. The project site sits on K Avenue at 2F SKP Plaza, a level that mixes storefronts with circulating public space. The setting is typical of the mall's event and retail programming: a defined floorplate within a luxury retail environment, used for temporary shops and brand presentations.

How the space was used

For this project the site was fitted as a limited boutique for LOEWE x On, with product display and a contained retail footprint inside the 2F plaza. The installation used the mall's internal avenue as approach and circulation, drawing visitors past surrounding storefronts into a defined shop area. The two-week format combined retail display with a temporary brand presence rather than a standalone building.

Why it works here

Chengdu SKP's 2F plaza and K Avenue suit short-run luxury retail because they place a temporary shop within an existing mall circulation route. Shoppers already move through the level between stores, so a limited boutique can operate as a stop on that route without requiring a separate exterior entrance or purpose-built venue.
