The North Bund International Cruise Terminal pier hosted Hermès's Fall/Winter 2025 womenswear show, staged against the Huangpu River and the Lujiazui skyline.

The North Bund International Cruise Terminal occupies a stretch of working waterfront in Shanghai's Hongkou district, where passenger berths, a broad open quay and terminal buildings meet the Huangpu River. Its surfaces are largely industrial: poured concrete, steel bollards, loading edges and exposed structure. Across the water, the Lujiazui skyline forms a continuous backdrop. Between ship calls the outdoor quay and terminal halls are used for events, filming and public waterfront circulation.
The show was built directly on the terminal quay, with the river and the opposite bank's towers acting as the backdrop rather than a constructed set. Seating and the runway were arranged along the pier's open deck, keeping the terminal's concrete and steel visible around the production. Models moved through this industrial envelope, so the leather and quilted garments read against raw port surfaces and open sky.
The terminal offers a large, flat, weather-exposed deck with an unbuilt horizon and a recognisable city skyline attached to it. That combination lets a fashion house stage a production without scenic construction, and lets industrial materiality sit in deliberate contrast with the collection on show.
