Four retail venues in Shanghai, Chengdu, Beijing and Shenzhen hosted a week-long Gucci Ancora installation.

The project occupied four established retail sites: Zhangyuan, a restored heritage courtyard block in central Shanghai; Chengdu Taikoo Li and Beijing Sanlitun Taikoo Li, low-rise open-air retail lanes arranged along public walkways; and Shenzhen Bay MixC, an enclosed shopping mall. Each is a high-footfall commercial setting where brands routinely take short-term units. Floor areas and capacity are not verified.
At each site a branded space was inserted into existing retail fabric for a fixed one-week window, 11 to 17 March 2024, preceded by announcement material. Internal zoning, circulation routes and built fittings are not verified in the source, which records the four locations through installation photographs only. The format reads as a walk-in brand space rather than a ticketed exhibition, open to passing mall and street traffic.
All four are shopping and strolling destinations with steady foot traffic from fashion-oriented visitors, and each already accommodates short-term brand units, so a week-long installation can be added without altering the host building. The mix of open-air lanes and enclosed mall space puts the installation directly in front of passing visitors.
