Shanghai Exhibition Center hosted the Asia tour opening of Gucci Garden Archetypes, a 17-room immersive exhibition.

The Shanghai Exhibition Center is a landmark exhibition complex in central Shanghai, set back from Yan'an Road behind a broad forecourt. Its mid-century main hall and ancillary galleries host trade fairs, art exhibitions and public events. The venue's large interior volumes and formal approach make it suited to ticketed, set-built exhibitions that require controlled circulation.
For Gucci Garden Archetypes, the exhibition was built as 17 distinct themed rooms inside the venue, using advanced technology, craftsmanship and exhibition design to create an immersive sequence. Visitors moved through a set route of fantasy environments rather than a single open hall, with each room presenting a different visual and narrative moment drawn from the brand's recent campaigns.
The Shanghai Exhibition Center's large halls and formal circulation allow a ticketed exhibition to install multiple enclosed rooms while keeping visitor flow separate from the public forecourt. Its central location and established role as an exhibition venue make it suitable for an international touring show that depends on set construction and timed entry.
