Hollywood Boulevard, the Los Angeles street usually given over to traffic and foot traffic, hosted the Gucci Love Parade show.

Hollywood Boulevard is a long arterial street running through the Hollywood district of Los Angeles. It is lined with sidewalks, shopfronts, cinemas and theatres, and is normally shared between vehicles, pedestrians and visitors moving along the pavement. Its width, continuous frontage and long straight sightlines make it a street that reads as a stage even in everyday use.
For the show the roadway itself became the runway. Seating and lighting positions were arranged along the street edges, with camera and sound setups placed to carry the event as a live broadcast. Models walked the length of the closed carriageway between the flanking buildings, so the show was read against the street's existing facades rather than a built set.
A street like this supplies what an indoor venue cannot: a long, unobstructed run, existing architectural backdrop and public recognisability. Closing a carriageway creates a controlled interior-like footprint outdoors, which suits a collection presentation that depends on sightlines, lighting consistency and a broadcast image tied to a known location.
