The Shamao Street bus shelter beside Chengdu Taikoo Li hosted a Gucci Year of the Rabbit graphic takeover.

The venue is a street-level bus shelter on Shamao Street beside Chengdu Taikoo Li, a central shopping and walking district in Chengdu. It is a transit waiting structure with a roof and advertising panel, normally used by bus passengers and pedestrians. Its roadside position places it directly in the path of people moving between the surrounding streets and retail areas.
During the project, the shelter’s advertising panel was wrapped with Gucci’s rabbit illustrations: grouped rabbit figures in bright colours against large colour fields, intersected by abstract lines. The transit structure became a temporary graphic landmark on the street, visible to pedestrians and passengers. The record notes that the installation prompted photo-taking; dimensions, dwell time and visitor numbers are not verified.
Bus shelters put a campaign into the daily route of pedestrians and transit users rather than inside a store. Beside Taikoo Li, the structure sits within a walking and shopping district, so a graphic takeover can be seen from the pavement and photographed. The format suits short, high-visibility launches and seasonal messages.
