Gucci at Chengdu Chicony Plaza — Gucci Flora Dream Garden Chengdu (2026)

Chengdu Chicony Plaza hosted Gucci Flora's open-air Dream Garden pop-up, an immersive fragrance and cosmetics installation in its outdoor plaza.

The venue

Chengdu Chicony Plaza is a shopping mall in central Chengdu. The project occupied its outdoor plaza, a paved commercial forecourt beside the mall entrances. In normal use the area carries pedestrian traffic and serves as a gathering and circulation space between retail areas and the street. Its open-air setting allows temporary structures to be placed without enclosing the mall interior.

How the space was used

The plaza was built out as a modular open-air European-style timber courtyard in pink and purple. Hand-painted floral wallpaper, carved arcade openings and curved display cases defined the interior. A large perfume bottle marked the entrance, with printed curtains moving in the wind. Fragrance swings, a flower cart and a stamp-collecting scent trail guided visitors through fragrance and cosmetics displays.

The mall's outdoor plaza gives a temporary fragrance pop-up street-level visibility and direct pedestrian access. Passersby can enter without navigating the mall interior, while the open-air setting supports the garden narrative, scent, and photo moments.
