Fendi at JC Mandarin Plaza — Tenuta Fendi Tuscan Holiday Pop-up (2025)

JC Mandarin Plaza hosted a Tenuta Fendi pop-up recreating a Tuscan coastal holiday with tasting counters, photo sets and a small retail area.

The venue

JC Mandarin Plaza is a commercial complex on Nanjing West Road in Jing'an, central Shanghai, close to the Nanjing West Road metro interchange. Its indoor atrium is a covered, multi-level circulation space used for public seating, events and passage between retail floors. The venue sits within a dense office and shopping district and draws weekday and weekend foot traffic.

How the space was used

Within the atrium, the pop-up was laid out as a sequence of four photo zones: a sand-and-lounger coastline, a Sicilian arch with lemon trees, a yellow-toned room, and a giant wine-glass flower installation. Tasting machines and a scent table sat alongside, with a retail counter for wines and gifts near the exit. Visitors moved through the zones before reaching the tasting and retail area.

Why it works here

The covered mall atrium allows set dressing and controlled lighting for a photo-led pop-up, while the Nanjing West Road location brings office workers, shoppers and metro passengers past the entrance. A free, short visit format suits a central shopping complex where visitors are already moving between retail floors.
