Victory Cinema in Shanghai hosted DIOR IN RED, a seven-room exhibition on the brand's use of red.

Victory Cinema is a cinema venue in Shanghai. Its interior is arranged around screening rooms and the circulation areas of a working movie theatre. In normal use the venue operates as a cinema. For DIOR IN RED, its rooms were adapted for a temporary exhibition while the building's identity as a cinema remained part of the setting.
The venue held seven themed exhibition rooms connected in a film-reel sequence. Its route moved through photography and art works before reaching the Rouge Dior section, where seven red haute couture looks were shown alongside red accessories, fragrances and beauty items arranged in display cases. The rooms were used as sequential narrative spaces rather than a single open gallery.
The cinema's compartmentalised interior and existing visitor route suit a sequential exhibition. A fashion project built around photography and film references can use those rooms without a conventional gallery fit-out. The venue also keeps the event within a cultural setting rather than a retail floor.
