Dior at THE SEED, West Bund Central — Dior La Micro-Huile de Rose Exhibition (2026)

A dome-roofed event pavilion on Shanghai's West Bund riverside hosted a six-day Dior rose-science skincare exhibition.

The venue

THE SEED is a standalone event pavilion at West Bund Central, the riverside district in Xuhui where the city's art museums and cultural venues are clustered along the Huangpu. The building is recognisable from outside by a spherical dome shell; inside it offers a clear-span interior that is normally given over to exhibitions, brand presentations and cultural programming rather than permanent retail.

How the space was used

For six days the interior was fitted with a modular build in white and gold: a rose light corridor, a technology tunnel, a rose laboratory and a treatment experience area, connected by a single roaming route. Layered soft lighting and a rose scent ran throughout, and the dome exterior carried the project's visual identity toward the riverside promenade.

Why it works here

The district draws an audience already moving between museums and cultural venues, so a ticketed, appointment-based exhibition fits the area's visiting pattern. A standalone pavilion lets a single project control the shell, the interior sequence, lighting and scent, and the riverside setting supports daytime photography and social posting.
