The MixC Xiamen’s L1 main atrium hosted a DIOR pop-up for its Fall 2026 collection, built around French patisserie imagery.

The MixC Xiamen is an upscale shopping mall in Xiamen. The venue used here is its L1 main atrium, a central circulation space that connects adjoining retail floors and is normally kept open for mall traffic. As a mall atrium, it provides a central floor plate where temporary structures can be installed within the shopping route.
For the project, the atrium was fitted with a mint-green panelled enclosure, herringbone-pattern flooring and dark green ripple-textured walls. A central display gathered handmade glass and ceramic cake pieces on plates, placed among bags, ready-to-wear and accessories. Circulation moved around this central cluster, with the pop-up occupying the main atrium floor and adjacent DIOR boutique hoarding visible beside it.
A mall atrium suits brand pop-ups because it is already part of the shopping route and can hold a built environment without permanently changing the building. The MixC Xiamen’s L1 atrium places the installation among regular retail traffic, letting a temporary concept sit next to the brand’s permanent boutique plans.
