Dior recreated its Tuileries Garden set inside Sanlitun Taikoo Li and Shenzhen Bay MixC, turning retail space into a glasshouse garden.

The record covers two retail venues: Sanlitun Taikoo Li, an open-air shopping district in Beijing, and Shenzhen Bay MixC, a mall in Shenzhen. Both are pedestrian-oriented retail properties with indoor and outdoor circulation, storefronts and public walkways. Their layouts allow temporary structures to sit within active shopping routes rather than in closed galleries. The venues are used for shopping, dining and public events.
For this project, the venues held a glasshouse-like pop-up modeled on the Tuileries Garden. Inside, an octagonal pool with floating water-lily sculptures and green garden benches formed the central scene, while product displays and, at selected sites, a Café Dior served a rose afternoon tea. The setup directed visitors through garden references and merchandise. Circulation moved around the pool and benches.
These retail venues suit such a pop-up because they combine shopping traffic with flexible public space. A garden-themed installation can sit on the mall route, slow circulation and give shoppers a reason to linger without requiring a museum-like interior. It also works for product viewing.
