The open-air plaza at Qiantan Taikoo Li hosted a Dior Rouge Allure lipstick pop-up built around a red-carpet arrival sequence.

Qiantan Taikoo Li is an open-air retail complex in Shanghai's Qiantan district, in Pudong. Its buildings are arranged along pedestrian lanes and terraces rather than enclosed in a single atrium, and the complex opens onto broad paved plazas and wide outdoor steps. These exterior areas carry circulation between shops and are normally used for strolling, seating and occasional public installations.
The outdoor steps and adjacent plaza were converted into a connected red carpet route, lined with a large three-dimensional CD mark, a scaled lipstick sculpture, starlight strip lighting, neon lines and mirrored surfaces. Four zones were set out along this route: product experience with shade matching and one-to-one makeup service, a photo area, a screening area and a gift redemption counter.
The stepped open-air plaza already handles foot traffic and casual passing trade, so a free, walk-through installation can be entered without ticketing or queue barriers. The existing terraces give the build natural height and a processional route, which suits a red-carpet format and produces photo viewpoints from several levels.
