MOCA Chengdu hosted the Chengdu edition of Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams, an exhibition of couture, archive material and film.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Chengdu (MOCA Chengdu) is a contemporary art venue in Chengdu, organised as a series of gallery rooms rather than a retail or event floor. It normally hosts curated art exhibitions and related public programmes. Its interiors provide enclosed display areas that can be divided into distinct viewing sequences, with the museum setting keeping attention on objects rather than on commercial fixtures.
For this project, the galleries were recast as a narrative exhibition designed by Nathalie Crinière. The display brought together couture pieces from the archive, documents and film, arranged so that visitors moved through a sequence of staged rooms. An opening reception was held in the museum, using the same exhibition setting for invited guests alongside the public run.
A contemporary art museum suits a fashion heritage exhibition because its gallery sequence supports garments, archive material and film without retail distraction. Visitors arrive prepared to move slowly through curated rooms, and the museum context gives the objects a research-led frame rather than a promotional one.
