Dior presented its second-half 2020 fragrance, makeup and skincare lines inside the galleries of the Long Museum West Bund in Shanghai for a single day.

The Long Museum West Bund occupies a former coal-handling site on the Xuhui riverside, its galleries built into and beneath the surviving industrial structures. Vaulted concrete ceilings, a long ramped approach and large column-free halls give the building a raw, structural character, and its riverside address places it within Shanghai's West Bund museum strip.
For the one-day preview, the galleries were divided into separate zones for fragrance, makeup and skincare, with new products arranged on plinths and counters. Guests moved between the sections at their own pace, sampling scents and testing products, while the bare concrete rooms kept the staging sparse and the displays legible.
West Bund museums draw a design-literate Shanghai audience and offer large, flexible galleries that can be split into distinct zones. A beauty preview needs neutral, controlled rooms where products read clearly rather than a retail floor, and the industrial architecture gives the presentation a cultural framing.
