Fosun Foundation in Shanghai hosted a Miss Dior exhibition tracing the perfume through fragrance, couture and women’s art.

Fosun Foundation is a contemporary art centre in Shanghai’s Bund area, housed in a building known for its layered moving facade. Its galleries are normally used for temporary art exhibitions, talks and cultural programming. The venue sits within the Bund Finance Center complex, placing it among the city’s riverfront cultural and commercial buildings. It is an exhibition-led institution rather than a retail venue.
The exhibition inserted six themed zones into the art centre, following a circular narrative route. It began with the 1947 perfume bottle and Dior manuscripts, moved through a couture corridor and archive display, then opened into a women artists’ garden, a sensory sound-and-scent room and a closing sustainable garden. Circulation guided visitors from scent to image to emotion, with artworks and archival material placed along the route.
Fosun Foundation suits this because its galleries can hold a staged, museum-like narrative rather than a retail display. The art-centre context supports fragrance, couture and commissioned artworks, while the Bund location draws visitors already attending cultural exhibitions. It allows a brand to occupy the building as a cultural participant.
