The Dubai Mall's lower-ground Star Atrium hosted a month-long Chanel beauty pop-up for the 2024 holiday season.

The Dubai Mall is a large enclosed shopping complex in Dubai, arranged over multiple levels around a sequence of themed atria. The Star Atrium sits on the LG level, an open concourse beneath the main retail floors, used for circulating shoppers, temporary stands and seasonal installations. Its ceiling height, sightlines from upper galleries and proximity to anchor stores and the mall's main pedestrian flow make it a recurring site for brand builds.
For this project the atrium held a built pop-up enclosure rather than open counters. Inside, the space was divided into areas for fragrance, colour cosmetics and skincare, with a separate zone for personalised services. Circulation moved visitors past the product displays toward the service area, and the enclosure's decorated exterior faced the passing mall traffic on the LG concourse.
Mall atria work for beauty pop-ups because they combine unplanned footfall with enough floor area to build a closed, controllable interior. Shoppers already in gift-buying mode pass the frontage, while the enclosed plan lets a brand stage scent, lighting and consultation away from the surrounding retail noise.
