Chanel at T61 Chengdu — Chanel Electro Watch Launch (2021)

Chengdu's T61 high-floor entertainment complex hosted the launch party for Chanel's Electro watch collection, with live electronic music and guest appearances.

The venue

T61 is a high-floor entertainment complex in Chengdu, a venue format that combines club, lounge and event space within one address. Its upper-level position separates it from street-level retail and gives the interior a nightlife-oriented character. The venue is normally used for music, parties and private entertainment, with flexible rooms rather than fixed exhibition halls. Floor area and capacity are not verified.

How the space was used

For the CHANEL ELECTRO watch launch, the venue was arranged as a party environment rather than a conventional product display. The event hosted a live electronic music programme, with performances by TrembLe MiX and Pet Conspiracy and appearances by brand ambassadors. Watch displays referencing the four CHANEL watch lines were placed within the social and performance areas, so guests moved between viewing and music. Specific zones and layout are not verified.

Why it works here

A high-floor entertainment complex suits a music-led watch launch because its existing nightlife atmosphere supplies the lighting, sound and social flow that a fashion party needs. Guests expect to move, drink and watch performances, which allows product displays to sit inside a club-like environment instead of a white retail box. The upper-floor setting also separates the event from street traffic.
