BBK Xingcheng Tiandi's central atrium hosted a Chanel No. 1 Garden pop-up built around red camellias.

BBK Xingcheng Tiandi is a shopping mall in Changsha. Its central atrium functions as an indoor public square shared by the surrounding retail levels, with walkways and sightlines that connect it to shops and upper floors. The space is normally used for circulation, gatherings and temporary mall programming, and it can hold a freestanding structure while remaining open to the rest of the mall.
For the Chanel No. 1 Garden pop-up, the atrium contained a red pavilion with a peaked roof, referencing Chanel's camellia laboratory in southern France. Visitors moved from the mall walkways into the structure, where red camellia products were displayed. Windows brought daylight into the interior, and the red exterior and interior finishes carried the camellia theme through the installation.
A mall atrium suits a temporary beauty pop-up because it is already part of the shopping route and can be seen from multiple levels. A freestanding pavilion gives the brand a defined interior while the surrounding mall supplies passing visitors and an appointment-based entry system can manage flow.
