Old Shanghai City Hall hosted Cartier's Nature Sauvage high jewelry exhibition, with several hundred pieces shown across three themed chapters.

Old Shanghai City Hall is a historic civic building near the Bund in Shanghai. Its stone facades, formal entry sequence and large interior rooms belong to the city's municipal architectural heritage. Outside event periods, the building operates as a heritage and cultural venue, with rooms suited to exhibitions, ceremonies and temporary installations rather than permanent retail.
The exhibition used the interior rooms as a sequence of three chapters—wilderness wind, earth treasures and flowing water—installing display cases, controlled lighting and natural imagery. Circulation moved visitors through the chapters, with areas for high jewelry, watches and archival pieces, plus a craft demonstration and masterclass space. The formal rooms were darkened for viewing, while the building’s architectural details remained part of the backdrop.
A heritage civic building gives high jewelry a formal, controlled setting that differs from a retail store. Its rooms can be sequenced for slow viewing, security and small-group presentations, while the Bund location connects the event to Shanghai’s historic commercial district and its luxury audience.
